Freelance digital marketer, Melbourne

Freelance digital marketer in Melbourne.

I'm Saku, a freelance digital marketer based in Richmond, Melbourne. I work with small businesses and startups across Australia on strategy, websites, Google Ads and social ads, and I do the work myself.

Who I work with

Most of my clients are owners of small and growing businesses: allied health clinics, trades, professional services, ecommerce brands and startups. I work remotely, with clients in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. You'll probably get the most from working with me if you:

  • can't yet justify a full-time marketing hire
  • don't have the time to run your marketing yourself
  • want a partner who learns how your business works before recommending anything
  • have a good product or service but haven't found the right way to market it
  • already run marketing and want someone to tell you honestly what's working

What I do

How it works

We start with a free 30-minute call. If I can help, I'll scope the work and give you a fixed quote before anything starts. There are no lock-in contracts. You deal with me from the first call to the monthly report, and I'll always talk in plain English, not marketing jargon.

If you already have marketing data, I'll go through it with you, explain what it's telling you, and suggest what to change, from bidding strategies to the words on your ads.

Experience

  • Marketing for small business since 2019
  • 100+ businesses helped
  • 200+ websites and landing pages built
  • 15,000+ hours of marketing, agency and in-house
  • Bachelor's degree in International Marketing
  • 5.0 stars on Google

"Reliable, hard-working and highly skilled. We would recommend their services to any small or medium-sized business hoping to improve marketing performance without the large agency price tag attached."

Freelancer, in-house hire or agency?

A freelancer suits you when you need senior marketing skills a few days a month rather than five days a week. You get direct access to the person doing the work and you only pay for what you need. If you need several people working on your marketing every day, an in-house team or an agency may suit you better, and I'll tell you if that's the case. I've written more about this in freelancer vs agency.

Common questions

Questions worth asking.

How much does a freelance digital marketer cost in Melbourne?

It depends on the work. As a guide, my Google Ads and social ads management starts from $1,250 a month, landing pages from $1,490, websites from $4,900 and Shopify stores from $7,900 (all excl. GST). Strategy and fractional CMO work is quoted to fit. We start with a free 30-minute call. If I can help, I'll scope the work and give you a fixed quote before anything starts.

Freelancer or agency: which is better?

A freelancer suits you if you want senior skills a few days a month and to deal directly with the person doing the work. An agency suits you if you need several people working on your marketing every day.

Do you lock clients into contracts?

No. Ongoing work runs month to month.

Do you work with businesses outside Melbourne?

Yes. I work remotely with clients across Australia, including Sydney and Perth.

What if I already have someone doing part of my marketing?

That's fine. I can take one piece, like Google Ads or the website, and work alongside your team or other suppliers.

How do you report on results?

Through a live dashboard plus a plain-English summary of what changed, what it means and what I'm doing next.

Will you tell me if I don't need you?

Yes. If on our first call I don't think I can help, I'll say so and point you to someone who can.

Want a marketer who learns your business? Let's talk.

Thirty minutes, no pitch. Tell me about your business and I'll tell you honestly whether and how I can help.
